What is Expressing Preference??

Exppresing Preference is option that we like or something that we enjoy.

There are two differences of Expressing Preference :

1.      Difference in form :

 Followed by a different verb form:

Ex:

I prefer living in a city = (followed by the gerund; the '-ing' ending)

I would prefer to be told the truth = (followed by the infinitive; to+ the verb)

2.      which is often used :

Ex:

We like wooden toys better than leather puppets = Like …… better than

I would rather buy that pinting = would reather …… verb1

They prefer leather puppets to wooden statute = prefer …… to
